Last Updated: 20/8/2025
Introduction & Nature of Services. Global Transportation Network Sdn Bhd (“GTN”) is a transport coordination and booking platform focused on corporate, business, and private client transport services. GTN does not provide public taxi or e-hailing services to the general public. All transport services arranged through GTN are conducted for corporate clients, organisations, registered business partners, and private individual clients under specific service agreements and confirmed bookings.
1. Definitions
- “GTN” means Global Transportation Network Sdn Bhd (Company No. [insert]).
- “Driver” means an individual or company registering to provide transport services via GTN.
- “Corporate Client” means any company, hotel, business, or organisation engaging GTN for staff or guest transport.
- “Private Individual Client” means a private person engaging GTN for personal/family use under a booking.
- “Client” means collectively Corporate Clients and Private Individual Clients.
- “Passenger” means any person transported under a Client’s booking.
- “Operator (Singapore Operator)” means a Singapore-licensed limousine/charter operator or cross-border taxi licensed by LTA.
- “Services” means GTN’s coordination, booking management, and facilitation of transport services, including cross-border arrangements.
- “Booking” means a transport assignment confirmed through GTN’s platform or in writing.
- “Force Majeure” means events beyond reasonable control (e.g., traffic incidents, border delays, immigration inspections, strikes, extreme weather, system outages).
2. Scope of GTN’s Role
- GTN operates as a transport coordinator and booking platform. GTN does not own or operate vehicles; all transport is performed by independent Drivers or licensed Operators.
- GTN may facilitate cross-border transport via licensed Operators in Malaysia and Singapore. For Singapore-origin trips, GTN may act as administrator/coordinator, including booking oversight and optional payment facilitation to Operators/taxis.
- GTN acts as a single point of contact for bookings, monitoring pick-ups, and payment coordination. GTN may charge a coordination/administration fee and request an advance deposit to settle with Operators.
- GTN is not a common carrier and does not guarantee any outcome, timing, or border clearance. Immigration/customs decisions are outside GTN’s control.
- GTN may decline, suspend, or cancel a Booking where legality, safety, or compliance is in doubt.
3. Driver Engagement Terms
3.1 Driver Obligations
- Hold valid driving licence, road tax, and motor insurance; ensure vehicle is roadworthy (JPJ/PUSPAKOM compliance).
- Comply with all traffic laws, border/immigration rules, and checkpoint procedures in Malaysia and Singapore.
- No solicitation or public-hire activity; no alcohol/drug impairment; professional conduct with Passengers.
3.2 Insurance & Liability
- Drivers must maintain motor insurance that covers Passengers for the assigned use. Where trips could be construed as hire-and-reward, Drivers are responsible to ensure appropriate cover (e.g., endorsements/H&R where applicable).
- GTN may maintain supplementary group accident insurance for Passengers; such cover is secondary and does not replace the Driver’s obligations.
- The Driver indemnifies GTN against claims, fines, penalties, or losses arising from the Driver’s negligence, misconduct, insurance gaps, or legal breaches.
3.3 Independent Contractor
- Drivers are independent contractors, not employees. No entitlement to employee benefits.
3.4 Payments
- Fares/fees may be collected by or through GTN. GTN deducts a service/administration fee before remitting the balance to the Driver.
- For cross-border services, GTN may require a deposit from the Client and may hold funds to settle with Operators/Drivers.
3.5 Suspension/Termination
- GTN may suspend or remove a Driver for breaches, misconduct, safety issues, or legal non-compliance.
4. Client Engagement Terms (Corporate & Private)
4.1 Service Coverage
- Transport for staff, guests, and business associates (Corporate Clients) and for personal/family use (Private Individual Clients) under confirmed Bookings.
- Malaysia → Singapore: trips may be completed by Malaysia-registered vehicles where legal and compliant; Passengers must typically board in Malaysia.
- Singapore → Malaysia: inbound transport is arranged with licensed Singapore Operators or cross-border taxis. Cross-border taxis generally drop at Larkin Sentral (JB) and may pick up for return only from Larkin (subject to LTA rules).
- Client acknowledges GTN does not operate vehicles directly.
4.2 Insurance & Liability
- Primary coverage is provided by the Driver’s/Operator’s motor insurance. Client acknowledges this may vary by assignment and jurisdiction.
- GTN may maintain group passenger accident insurance as supplementary protection. Client is encouraged to hold corporate travel accident cover for frequent travellers.
- GTN is not liable for delays, missed connections, immigration/customs issues, inspections, or Force Majeure events.
4.3 Booking, Pricing, Deposits & Payment
- Client agrees to pay service charges shown at confirmation. Prices may exclude variable costs such as tolls, VEP/Autopass/ERP, parking, airport/ground transport fees, fuel surcharges, and waiting time.
- For Singapore-side arrangements where GTN coordinates with Operators/taxis, GTN may charge a minimum administrative fee (flat or percentage) and require an upfront deposit to facilitate timely settlement.
- Currency & FX: cross-border components may be billed in SGD or converted to MYR at displayed or monthly settlement rates.
4.4 Cancellations, No-Shows & Waiting Time
- Unless stated otherwise in the Booking, free cancellation up to [e.g., 24 hours] before pick-up; thereafter fees may apply up to 100%.
- No-show (Passenger not present within [e.g., 30] minutes of pick-up time) may be charged as completed.
- Waiting time beyond [e.g., 15] minutes may be chargeable in blocks (e.g., per 15 minutes).
4.5 Client & Passenger Responsibilities
- Provide accurate booking details and ensure Passengers comply with immigration, visa, customs, and security requirements.
- Seatbelts must be worn; child seats must be requested in advance and may incur fees.
- No hazardous/dangerous goods; Drivers may refuse carriage for safety, legal, or capacity reasons (including intoxication/abuse).
- Services are for internal/corporate or private purposes only and may not be resold as public transport.
